How Shipping Works
Safe, NPIP-certified nationwide shipping (lower 48 states) for hatching eggs and day-old chicks.
We want every customer to feel confident from the moment an order leaves our farm to the moment it reaches your hands. All shipments from Parcell Farms follow NPIP- standards, careful packing-methods, and a predictable delivery.

Before You Order

Live chick shipping is free for orders of 12 or more chicks. For orders less than 12 chicks, a flat rate shipping fee of $60 applies.

Shipping includes: USPS Priority Shipping, Sturdy Packaging, Gro-Gel, Chick Crumble and Nesting Material.

All live chick boxes are labeled "Hold for Pickup" with your phone number written on the box

Live chick shipments are required a minimum of (6) chicks to ship or the order will be cancelled.
Live Chick Order Fullfillment Process
Step 1
Your Order is Placed
Step 2
Incubation Initiated
Once receiving your order, you will recieve an email confirming your preferred hatch date. We will then prepare your hatching eggs for incubation!
21 days before your preferred hatch date, your new chicks will be placed in the incubator to start growing! We candle twice through the incubation period. If at anytime it appears we will be unable to fully fill your requested order amount, we will reach out to discuss refund or reschedule options. Sometimes mother nature has other plans!
Step 3
Birthday
Hatch day has arrived and your chicks are ready to head to your flock. Each box is carefully packed, with a heat pack (weather pending), nesting pad or shavings, and some Grogel + chick feed. These additional items of care are already included in the price of shipping so you can be certain your little ones will have a comfortable journey home.
Step 4
Welcome Home
Once your chicks have shipped, they will arrive at your local post office within (1-3) days. Your phone number is written on the box, and USPS will call you once they arrive. You MUST pick them up as soon as they arrive and get them straight to their new brooder- this is imperative for their overall well-being. Chicks may appear tired after travel—this is normal.
With warmth, water, and rest, they typically perk up quickly.
