Welcome to Parcell Farms LLC (“Parcell Farms,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms & Conditions govern the use of our website, services, and all purchases made through Parcell Farms.
At Parcell Farms, we take great pride in raising and providing healthy, thoughtfully bred poultry and waterfowl using humane and proven practices. Because live animals and hatching eggs are inherently variable and sensitive products, certain risks cannot be fully controlled or guaranteed.
By placing an order with Parcell Farms, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree with these terms, please do not place an order.
1. Product Categories
Parcell Farms may offer products including, but not limited to:

Farm Goods or Related Products
Each product category may be subject to different conditions, fulfillment methods, and limitations as outlined below.
2. Hatching Eggs
Hatching eggs are delicate, perishable agricultural products and are sold with the understanding that hatch outcomes can vary significantly.
Important Notice
Hatching eggs are sold as-is, and Parcell Farms does not guarantee:

-
Viability
-
Development success

Incubation outcome
Successful hatching depends on many factors outside our control, including but not limited to:

Incubator accuracy

Humidity and temperature management

Egg handling during shipment

Incubation technique

Storage conditions after arrival

Environmental conditions
-
Buyer experience
While we take great care in collecting, handling, and packaging hatching eggs, Parcell Farms is not responsible for hatch success or related outcomes once eggs leave our care.
3. Live Poultry & Waterfowl
All live poultry and waterfowl are sold subject to natural biological and developmental variability.
Unless explicitly stated in writing, Parcell Farms does not guarantee:

Temperament
-
Behavior
-
Adult size
-
Growth rate
-
Egg production
-
Feather color or pattern
-
Physical traits
-
Breeding quality or future performance
Straight Run Policy
Unless otherwise stated in writing, all chicks are sold as straight run.
4. Shipping & Fulfillment
We use thoughtful, industry-standard practices to prepare live animals and hatching eggs for transit.
Hatching Egg Shipping

Free shipping on all hatching egg orders
Live Chick Shipping

Free shipping on orders of 12 or more chicks
-
Flat $60 shipping fee for orders under 12 chicks
Shipping Schedule
-
Live poultry shipments are typically sent Monday through Wednesday only
-
All live poultry shipments are sent Hold for Pickup unless otherwise stated
-
Shipment timing may be adjusted due to weather, postal conditions, flock readiness, or animal welfare considerations
Parcell Farms reserves the right to delay, reschedule, or hold shipments when doing so is in the best interest of the animals or the order.
5. Minimum Order Requirements
To support safe and humane shipping conditions:

Shipped chick orders require a minimum of 6 birds
-
Local pickup orders require a minimum of 3 birds
Parcell Farms reserves the right to modify, combine, delay, or cancel orders that do not meet minimum requirements.
6. Transfer of Risk & Carrier Responsibility
Parcell Farms prepares all shipments using commercially reasonable care and established live poultry shipping practices.
Once a shipment has been accepted by the carrier (including USPS), transit conditions, handling, delays, and delivery timing are outside of our direct control.
While our Live Arrival policy may apply to eligible claims, Parcell Farms is not responsible for carrier-related issues, including but not limited to:

Delays
-
Rerouting
-
Mishandling
-
Delivery errors
-
Transit-related stress or decline
Customers acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with shipping live animals and hatching eggs.
7. Live Arrival Claims (DOA Policy)
We understand that shipping live animals carries risk, and we do our best to support customers fairly if an issue occurs during transit.
To be eligible for Live Arrival review:
Claims must be submitted within 6 hours of postal pickup and must be sent by email to:
Required Documentation
Please include clear photos of:

The original shipping box

The shipping label
-
The affected chick(s) or bird(s)
Important
Failure to pick up a live shipment on the day of arrival may void claim eligibility.
Claims that meet all required conditions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
If approved, claims may be resolved at Parcell Farms’ discretion through one of the following:

Store credit
-
Replacement (if available)
-
Partial refund
-
Full refund
8. Cancellations, Returns & Refunds
Because many of our products are live, perishable, limited, or reserved in advance, all sales are generally considered final.
Returns
For biosecurity and animal welfare reasons:

No live poultry or waterfowl may be returned

Hatching eggs may not be returned
Order Cancellations
Orders may not be canceled once:
-
Eggs have been packaged
-
Animals have been prepared for shipment
-
Inventory has been specifically reserved or allocated for your order
Deposits / Preorders / Waitlists
Deposits, preorder payments, and waitlist-related payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.
Refunds requested before fulfillment may be considered on a case-by-case basis but are not guaranteed.
9. Local Pickup Terms
Customers selecting local pickup are responsible for arriving during the agreed pickup window.
Pickup Expectations
Customers must:

Arrive at the scheduled pickup time
-
Retrieve animals promptly
-
Communicate if a delay occurs
If an order is not picked up within 7 days of the agreed pickup date, Parcell Farms reserves the right to:

Cancel the order
-
Rehome or reallocate the animals
-
Retain some or all payment associated with the order
10. Biosecurity Policy
Protecting flock health is a top priority at Parcell Farms.
For biosecurity reasons:

No live animals may be returned to our property
-
Outside birds are not permitted in breeder or flock areas
-
Farm access may be restricted at any time
Customers are responsible for proper quarantine, flock introduction, and ongoing biosecurity practices once animals leave our care.
Parcell Farms is not responsible for illness, disease exposure, integration issues, or flock losses occurring after purchase.
11. Customer Responsibilities
By placing an order, the customer agrees to:

Provide accurate contact and shipping information

Be available for shipment tracking, pickup, or delivery
-
Retrieve live shipments promptly
-
Provide appropriate housing, heat, feed, water, and care
-
Follow recommended quarantine and integration practices
Failure to meet these responsibilities may affect claim eligibility or order support.
12. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
We ask that customers contact us directly if there is an issue with an order so we have the opportunity to review and address it appropriately.
Unsupported or improper chargebacks may be formally disputed using order records, shipment documentation, policy acceptance, claim timelines, and tracking history.
By placing an order, the customer acknowledges the inherent risks associated with live animal and hatching egg purchases and agrees that dissatisfaction caused by carrier issues, hatch outcomes, or natural biological variability does not automatically constitute grounds for a payment dispute.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Parcell Farms LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from any purchase, shipment, use, or ownership of products sold.
This includes, but is not limited to:

Loss of livestock

Loss of future breeding potential
-
Loss of production
-
Lost income or profits
-
Emotional distress
-
Veterinary costs
-
Flock-related losses after integration
Parcell Farms’ total liability, if any, shall not exceed the original purchase price paid for the affected product.
14. Website Use
14.1 Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, images, graphics, branding, logos, product descriptions, and educational materials, is the property of Parcell Farms LLC and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without written permission.
14.2 Website Accuracy
We make every effort to provide accurate and current information, but we reserve the right to:

Modify listings

Change policies

Adjust availability
at any time without prior notice.
14.3 Acceptable Use
Unauthorized use of this website, fraudulent activity, misuse of content, or interference with website functionality is prohibited.

Parcell Farms reserves the right to refuse service, cancel orders, limit quantities, or decline future transactions at our discretion.
This may include, but is not limited to, situations involving:

16. Privacy
Use of our website and services is also subject to our Privacy Policy.
17. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict of law principles.
18. Disputes
Any dispute arising from the use of this website or a purchase from Parcell Farms shall first be attempted to be resolved informally through direct communication.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, Parcell Farms reserves the right to pursue resolution through the appropriate legal or arbitration channels available under Ohio law.
19. Updates to These Terms
Parcell Farms reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time.
