Our NPIP Certification
Parcell Farms LLC - NPIP # 31-1809
At Parcell Farms, we believe flock health, responsible breeding, and transparency matter.
That’s why we participate in the National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP) — a voluntary federal and state cooperative program designed to help support poultry health, biosecurity, and interstate shipping compliance.
What Is NPIP?
The National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP) is a long-standing poultry health program administered through state and federal oversight.
Participation in NPIP means our flock is tested and monitored according to applicable program standards at the time of testing.
For customers, NPIP participation helps provide added confidence that birds and hatching eggs are coming from a farm that takes flock health and responsible management seriously.
Why It Matters
Our NPIP participation helps support:
-
Interstate shipping compliance
-
Routine flock health monitoring
-
Responsible biosecurity practices
-
A cleaner, more professional hatchery standard
It’s one of the many ways we work to maintain a thoughtful and trustworthy breeding program.
What NPIP Does — and Does Not — Mean
NPIP certification is an important part of responsible flock management, but it is not a blanket guarantee.
It does not mean that birds are permanently or universally disease-free under all circumstances, nor does it eliminate the effects of:
-
shipping stress
-
environmental exposure
-
flock integration
-
handling after arrival
-
post-purchase care and biosecurity practices
Like all live animals, poultry remain biologically variable and environmentally sensitive.
Our Biosecurity Commitment
At Parcell Farms, flock health is a top priority.
We support that through practices such as:
-
maintaining a closed and carefully managed breeding program
-
restricting unnecessary flock exposure
-
monitoring flock health
-
following applicable interstate shipment requirements
-
prioritizing clean handling and responsible care
Important Buyer Reminder
Once birds leave our care, customers are responsible for:
-
proper housing
-
quarantine practices
-
flock integration
-
ongoing biosecurity
We strongly encourage all buyers to practice thoughtful quarantine and flock management when introducing any new birds.
